Merry Christmas

One of the perks about being a parent is getting to opportunity to wake your kids up on Christmas morning and tell them that Santa has been here.
They jump out of bed so quickly and can't wait to go out and see what is waiting for them.
I love that Austin is excited over his United States puzzle.
Kayla displaying some of her new Dora stuff.
Austin and his dad both got remote control helicopters from Santa.
Kayla got a new desk for her room.
And thankfully Santa must of figured out what "strawberries" meant because Kayla got a Strawberry Shortcake cash register and walkie-talkies.
Austin also got the army stuff he was wanting.
He couldn't wait to get it all set up on the table.
I love doing puzzles and have made an effort to get my kids to like them also....so far I think it is working.
After spending our Christmas morning at home we went over to Craig's mom's house and met up with family including Mike & Sara and kids who drove up from Mustang. We ate a yummy lunch and then opened gifts.
I love how all the cousins are eagerly watching to see what each other got from Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Dennis.
This is a family joke.
Years ago, Craig's brother Brain being the goofball that he is, made Christmas ornament for his brothers and sisters and for Craig he made him a toilet christmas ornament. So when we were over at a friends house and Craig raved about their soft cushy toilet seat I just couldn't resist!!
The kids were super excited about getting bug collection containers.
And I was excited about it too because now they won't come in asking for kitchen bowls and tupperware for their dirt and bugs.
Kayla riding her scooter that she got a couple months ago for her birthday. Luckily she doesn't seem to care that Austin is able to whiz by her on his electric scooter with practically no effort.
Austin LOVES his electric scooter he got for Christmas and actually gets going pretty fast up and down the street in front of our house. He first words after riding it was "this is so cool!!!"
