Elizabeth, Tanner, Connor, Austin, Klayton, Nathan, Kayla, and Kaitlyn
All the kids (minus Kambria who was also there but somehow never made it in this picture)
Our first stop was at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.
| This place was great and the weather was perfect.....we walked around in a large circle stopping at different things along the way. |
First we stopped in to see some baby chicks.
Then we went inside the school house.
Th kids had a chance to see what it was like going to school back in the day....they enjoyed sitting at the desks and writing on the chalkboards.
Even the "big kids" had fun too.
Next the kids had fun looking through the muddy gross water in search of rocks.
Then we headed into the barn to see the baby cows.
This cow was sitting just out of arms reach. These kids tried so hard to pet him and came within a couple inches but this cow just sat there and watched them secretly laughing inside I'm sure.

And some interesting facts.....just for your education.
Outside the barn we had a fun time watching this cow.
The ducks were trying to get to his hay but when they got to close the cow would chase them away. We got a good laugh out of it.
The little kids enjoyed taking turns in the wagon.
Next up was fishing.....Klayton caught one pretty easily.
Me and Austin tried several times but the fish kept stealing our worms (which were alive and large and I was the one who had to put them on the hook....GROSS!!)
Several of the kids enjoyed riding tractors.
I love Klayton's face....pure delight.
Craig chillin with the little girls.
They also had playgrounds which the kids had fun on.
My favorite part of the day was when the kids got to feed the baby goats.
Many of the goats weren't hungry.....Kambria looks like she is having a "conversation" with this goat telling him that he is going to drink her bottle.
Kayla had a little trouble too....notice her hand around the goat trying to make him take her bottle.
So I took Kayla around to the other side and we found some very hungry goats.
So much fun!!!
We loved this place......definately something to do again.
After the farmstead, we stopped and got some frozen yogurt to eat. Yummy!
Once we arrived at the hotel the kids couldn't wait to go swimming.
They kept going under the water every time I tried to take their picture.

That night we went to the Hibachi Grill for dinner. When our chef first ignited the stove with flames I think it scared Austin and Kayla a little. Here the flames are coming out of onions (like a volcano).
The kids enjoyed watching him cook the food in front of us.
He even tossed a piece of shrimp to us to catch in our mouth which is what Craig is doing in this picture (the lightning here was terrible for picture taking)
Two tired kids at the end of a super fun day.
