Osage Hills

I grew up with many great memories of going camping....we would go frequently as a family plus every summer we would head to Utah and spend both family reunions camping in the mountains. Such great bonding time with family and so many memories. Well in Oklahoma we really don't have the mountains so we make do without. We only made it out camping once this year (not as much as I would have liked) so before it got too cold I wanted to head out to Osage Hills at least for the evening.   

 Once we arrived the kids had a great time on the playground.

 

And while dinner was being cooked we took the short hike down to the Sand Creek Falls.

Don't be fooled....there really aren't any waterfalls...just some water running downstream over some rocks....but I remember taking this hike several times as a teenager and the kids liked it too!!

After returning from the hike our tin-foil dinners were ready to eat....YUM YUM!!
