One Saturday in June we traveled over to Salina, Oklahoma to check out the Blue Hole.
At first glance we weren't quite sure whether it was going to be worth the drive. But that was proved wrong. The kids loved it and had a great time! (Austin's friend Ryan joined us also). They enjoyed playing in the river catching tadpoles and crawdads.

We also walked further down the river to some deeper areas where we did some "cliff jumping". First we stopped at a 5+ foot jump. Then we moved further down to a 10+ foot jump. And it wasn't only the boys who did the jumping! So proud of Mikayla and Kambria who were brave enough to jump. I was fine watching but Craig insisted I had to go too since coming here was all my idea...haha. I'm glad he pushed me into doing it because it was actually kind of fun and sometimes I just need a little push to go outside my comfort zone and try something new. (I wish I had my phone on me at that time so we could have got pictures of the jumping!! oh well, next time!)
Katelyn not so sure about all this but was a good sport!
At first Brooklyn was nervous walking in the river but it wasn't long and she was all smiles!
Glad Jeff & Andrea's family were able to come with us!
We were there for several hours and had a great time!
Craig says he wants to come back again and camp out next time. Maybe next summer!
