Water Time

This summer has gotten pretty hot at times so we spend a lot of days swimming. We are lucky to have so many options easily available for us to swim at.

Brooklyn keeping it cool
Love this picture of these two!!

Mikayla got really comfortable going off the diving board this summer.
We also did another round of swimming lessons in July. Austin and his cousin Klayton were in Swordfish and passed the class. Mikayla did Dolphin. She was sad at first knowing that Kambria wouldn't be in her class this time but I knew this extravert would be fine and she was. She made a lot of improvement but didn't pass the class which means she will get to do it again next summer with her cousin Kambria. She couldn't be more thrilled about that.

We went to Frontier pool several times

One evening several families got together and rented out Frontier pool. And because of that some of the height restrictions were waived so Mikayla and Kambria got to go on the slides. They were so thrilled and literally stayed on the slides for almost the whole 2 hours.

We also have fun meeting up with friends down at our neighborhood pool.

We met up with cousins several times at Papa Dave's house for a picnic lunch and swim.
We also took a day and went up to the Independence Water Park. We always try to make it up to this place at least once a summer cause the kids always have fun here.
Craig jumping off the high-dive.
I couldn't believe it but Mikayla & Kambria were also brave enough to jump off the high dive as too!

Always a fun time here!

Then there was several trips to the Phillips pool. This pool is nice when the weather is rainy or when you just want to enjoy the water without the bright sun in your face. Plus every time we go there is hardly anyone there so it is pretty much like a private pool.

And the girls having a silly fun time.

And although I would be perfectly fine just sitting on the side of the pool and watching, this little girl has kept me in the water all summer. But I really haven't minded since it keeps me cool and makes me feel about 10 pounds lighter. It has been a summer full of swimming.....wouldn't have it any other way. The kids love it!!
