Summer Vacation Part 4

My parents were so kind to get a resort for us all to stay at. Even though we kept pretty busy out doing stuff we did have some fun just enjoying what time we did have at the resort.
Playing a game of UNO on the screened-in back patio.
We enjoyed getting to do some swimming in the pools.
The pool even had a couple water slides that these boys got to enjoy.
Movie time---watching Honey I Shrunk The Kids in prep for Hollywood Kingdom the next day
 Enjoying the basketball court
 Slam Dunk!!

Craig, Austin, Jeff, Tyler, and my Dad enjoyed playing several games of tennis.
Cutie Cousins!!

Summer Vacation Part 3

When we decided to go to Florida for vacation this year, the first thing on my list was to take the kids to the beach. They have never been to a beach before and I just knew that they would love that experience. And it was probably one of my favorite parts of our vacation.
When we first walked onto the beach the kids started picking up sea shells. Then we made it down to the water. At first Brooklyn was interested in it all but after a few little waves she opted to stay away from the water.

Taking some chill time. At one point Craig and I were relaxing on the chairs watching the kids play in the sand and the water and it was just the perfect moment.

Austin's only complaint was the taste of the salty water so he tried extra hard to keep his mouth shut.
The kids enjoyed playing in the waves. Just as we were about to leave Mikayla took on a wave a little too big and it ended up knocking her all the way under the water. But she took it like a champ.

Away from the water, Brooklyn enjoyed playing in the sand.

We all worked on building this sand castle together.

It was such a wonderful perfect day!

Summer Vacation Part 2

While in Orlando, Craig and I thought it would be fun to take the kids to a zipline course. We found one close by called ZoomAir Treetop Adventure. Austin was just 1 inch short of doing the higher more challenging course which Craig could of done with him. So instead Craig and I watched and coached as Austin and Mikayla did the kids course.

The course didn't really have zip lines but mostly full of different types of bridges that connected one tree to another. But the kids were having fun with it.

There was a small zip line at the end of the first course that the kids finished with.
After completing the first kids course it was on to the higher more challenging kids course.
This one was definitely more fun for Austin.

Mikayla was nervous being up so high and needed a lot of encouragement.

And the zip swing at the end of the second course.
The kids had a good time trying something new but the fun didn't stop there.
We decided to let them try out the "hamster balls"
It was pretty funny watching them attempt to stand up and move the balls around on the water.
It was definitely harder than it looked.

It was great to spend a morning taking these kids out to try some new things.
