There are moments of motherhood that you will never forget.
Like that first moment when you became a mom.
Austin born December 2006
and the moment when you became a mom again
Mikayla born September 2008
and the moment when you became a mom again
Time stood still in those moments!
And then there are moments of motherhood when you just don't feel adequate enough to do the job. When you feel like you are failing. When being a mom is hard and tough and you are physically and emotionally exhausted. There are lots of those moments.
But luckily those moments pale in comparison to the moments of motherhood that feel your heart with love and joy! Like watching your children grow up and learn how to do new things. Watching your children laugh and play and enjoying the simple things in life. Receiving all the hugs and kisses and "I love you's."
Those are the moments of motherhood that make the hard ones all worth it.
Becoming a mom has opened my eyes to all the sacrifice and service my mom willing gave to our family! And as I struggle to manage life with only 3 kids (and 1 on the way), I have no idea how she managed it all with 7 kids!! I have learned so much from my mom and am so grateful for all she did and all she continues to do to bless the lives of her children and grandchildren!
It was a great Mother's Day filled with sweet cards that the kids had made. There were also flowers from Craig and flowers the kids picked out that we planted in our front yard that will continue to bloom all summer long.
I love being a mom! It is such a great gift and one that I truly do cherish and enjoy!
