Me and Mikayla flew out to Colorado for a nice "family reunion" at a resort in Vail. My sister Jamie just recently had a baby and so we all met there together for some good times. The resort was very nice and it was a great change of pace---having no real responsibilities for 5 days and getting to do whatever I wanted.
We played a lot of racketball
Mikayla loved running around the court listening to her voice echo around the room
We enjoyed the heated indoor/outdoor pool
(and the hot tub!!!)
We played a lot of games
(Speed Scramble!!! I'm hooked!!!)
The boys played video games
We did some crafts
And enjoyed meeting Rachel---the newest member of the family
Ahh---I love newborn babies!!
And of course we did some R&R
(rest and relaxation)
The master bedroom had a walk-in closet big enough for a pack-n-play. It worked great for napping and bedtime!!
There was some counsin bonding time
And some sister bonding time
Gotta have a silly picture too
The little kids enjoyed playing at the parks
And the big kids did too!!
We took a nice walk around downtown Vail, Colorado
Isn't the architecture just beautiful!!!
We walked into a store that I knew would be a pricy one just to see how expensive things were.
Want a fur coat anyone?
Oh my, does anybody else find that ridiculous??
Overall it was a great trip with lots of quality family time
(which of course had to end with tearful goodbyes)
Thanks baby Rachel for giving us a reason to all get together!!!

oh that looks like so much fun! Where in Vail was it? (on a side note, I got your email and I think to call you but generally it's 7 at night which is 9 your time... someday I'll think earlier!) how are you??
