Pumpkin Patch

Katelyn and I had a good time going with Brooklyn on her school field trip to the pumpkin patch. There was a variety of activities to enjoy.

These slides were the girl's favorite! They were super fast!

My cute pumpkin with her pumpkin!

Wayside Walk-a-thon

The walk-a-thon is really more like a run-a-thon and boy these kids really run their hearts out helping to raise money for the school.
It was Brooklyn's first year and she did great.
She was smiling and running and having a great time!
Of course having dad running with her made it even more fun!
She completed 12 laps which is not easy for those little pre-K legs.
Mikayla was easily motivated by the pizza party for the most completed laps, Mikayla ran 20 laps and earned herself a spot to go!

 Traditional orange smiles!
Austin's 7th and final Walk-a-thon. The 5th graders were allowed to paint their faces like a warrior.
Craig and I enjoyed taking turns running with our kids but Austin
was the hardest one to keep up with. He completed 26 laps!!

Great job boys!

It's Raining It's Pouring....

And Katelyn insisted she needed to go outside and play.....pant less and all!

That little stinker!

Happy Birthday Mikayla

For her birthday, Mikayla chose to take a few friends roller-skating which was super fun!
This place also had laser tag which was an added bonus!
Then we finished off with presents and ice-cream sundaes!
Happy Birthday girl! We hope you know how beautiful and special you are!

The Great American Eclipse August 21st, 2017

The kids got the opportunity to view the solar eclipse while they were at school.
It was a 90% eclipse in our area and was actually pretty cool. You could feel a slight change in the brightness and temperature during that time.
Next time totality 2024!!!

2 Years Old

Katelyn is two and she is on the move ALL THE TIME! With her there is always something to climb on, always something to get into, always something to put in her mouth, and always someone to bother. She still tip toes when she walks and still sucks her thumb and twirls her hair when she is tired. Her love of movies began first with Trolls and then with Moana. She will sit and watch them from beginning to end without a budge! Some of her other favorite things are jumping on the trampoline, doing puzzles, playing with her cousin Carter, playing outside, eating shredded cheese, and coloring with markers. Only we worry what she will color on because she gets easily distracted from the paper. Hence, the red sharpie scribbles all over the upstairs wall and door! She talks and says new words everyday although my favorite words are please, thank-you, your welcome, and luv you. She shouts "bye" and blows kisses to her older siblings every morning as they drive away on the bus. It's pretty adorable! She tries really hard to keep up with them but I will still think of her as my baby....forever!!

Happy Birthday Katelyn

This girl turned 2 years old and we had a nice family birthday celebration at home!
Sweet and simple!
She was excited about opening gifts.

The favorite present of the evening was the Poppy trolls doll.
And she dug into that cupcake before we got half way through the Happy Birthday song.
Good thing I didn't light the candle!!

First Day of School

Austin is now the "big man on campus" (5th grade) and walked in with pride. Mikayla is a 3rd grader and is excited to get back into the social aspect of school. Brooklyn started Pre-K this year and couldn't be more excited about going to school like her older siblings although I think she is mostly excited about riding the bus! So now it is just me and Katelyn at home during they day and I think we will both enjoy that quality time together!

For the next 9 months these beautiful kids will spend more of their awake time at school then at home. I admit I have had a few tugs on the heartstrings today as I have thought about them while at home in my oddly quieter house. But they have great teachers and good friends by their side. I pray that they will learn, flourish, have fun, make new friends and be a good friend in return. Can't wait for them to get home and tell me about their day!

4 Years Old

This girl is growing up faster than I can keep up with. I am in love with her blue eyes and straight blonde hair! She is our little ray of sunshine and her giddy laugh makes me smile inside. She is a snuggler and likes for me to hold her which I do because someday she will stop asking. She loves playing with friends, going to the park, riding her bike, jumping on the trampoline, drawing and coloring, gymnastics, and putting on her sister's butterfly dress. She loves to play with her big sister and do what she is doing but she also loves to play with Katelyn which gives her the chance to be the big sister. We love having this beautiful girl in our family!!

Utah Trip Day 8

Our last day spent in Utah was the number one reason we were there in the first place....
The marriage of my sister Kristina to Mitch in the Bountiful temple!
It was a beautiful sealing and was extra special because my parents and all my siblings with their spouses were in the sealing room together.

And all the cute kids enjoyed keeping each other company
while waiting on the marriage and picture taking.

Love all my siblings!!

Our new family picture!! We keep adding more and more people to our big eternal family!
