St. Patrick's Day Fun

The day started out with Shamrock the 'Ville 5K Run.....I finished with a time of 29:25. The weather was beautiful that morning and I had a fun time doing this run with family.
Then we joined in celebrating Kambia's birthday.
I am super LUCKY to be a mother to these kids!!
And then the day ended with Craig and I enjoying Shamrock shakes from McDonald's.....so good!!!

Green Country Gallop

My first run for the year. My finish time was 29:09 which is not my fastest 5K run time but it was nice getting out and running again with friends and familiar faces.

Enjoying Spring

We finally upgraded Austin's from his red tricycle to a bike with training wheels. He loves it and we ride around the neighborhood almost everyday. We have made several bike rides down to the park that is by our house which is the perfect distance for bike riding. My favorite is his dino helmet!!

And since Austin got a new bike, Kayla was super happy that she now got to ride the red tricycle.
Then me and Craig went shopping in Tulsa one day and suprisinly found this Strawberry Shortcake bike and just had to get it for Kayla. Right after we got it one of the tire tubes needed replaced....so Papa Dave came and took Kayla's bike, fixed it, and returned it with an added addition of a horn. Kayla LOVES her new bike and has become very good at riding it.
We also recently purchased bikes for both me and Craig along with bike strollers for each of the kids. We have taken several trips as a family around town.....we have gone on the pathfinder, over to the park, to McDonalds, and to Sonic. In the picture, Craig decided to bike ride Austin to school which of course made Austin's day!! I can only image the excitement as he told his friends how he got to school that day.
These pictures are from a Saturday afternoon bike ride we took with Jeff and Andrea and kids. I was actually doing a long run on the pathfinder that day but the kids enjoyed a bike ride with their cousins.
Kayla and Kambria enjoyed themselves in the bike strollers.
The kids have enjoyed picking the "flowers" that have been growing in our backyard.

Cute pictures at the park

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Kayla......I think it captures her personality so well!!

Happy Birthday Abby!!

On March 3rd our dog Abby turned 7 years old!!!
This is Abby when we first got her. We were living in Stillwater OK at the time. Craig and his sister had gone to Wal-mart to get a few items and long story short....came home with this cutie who was small enough to fit inside a shoebox.
From day one this cute little dog was loved and spoiled.
And from day one this cute little dog was tortured :)
Craig and Kelsey enjoyed rolling Abby up in a blanket tight enough to wear she couldn't move.....they called it an Abby burrito.
And things still haven't changed. Expect now Abby has to put up not only with us but our kids as well.....especially Kayla who loves trap Abby in her room and make Abby her playmate.
Abby is our noisy dog and barks at anything. She also is the one who likes to wake us up in the middle of the night so she can go outside for a bathroom break. She has also been an expensive investment......we have fixed ACL tears on each leg and Craig had to go to the ER to get stiches on his lower lip when Abby nipped at him while he was clipping her nails. Since then she goes to the vet to have her nails clipped. Abby does NOT like anyone messing with her feet.
But we love our Abby......she is hyper and loves to chase and cuddle and give kisses. For her birthday this year Abby got a new pink collar, a big juicy bone and a haircut!!!
 Happy Birthday Abby!!
You are one COOL dog!!

February Door of Fame

Here is the artwork from the kids during the month of february:
The top half of the door.
The bottom half of the door.
And since I ran out of room on the door this month, I had to put some of it on the fridge.
These are maps that Austin drew at school of the "jet game" which is something he enjoys with his dad. I find it interesting how detailed these maps are.
And on this picture we find randomness. See if you can spot a raindeer, turtle, heart, grasshopper, tank, snowman, and numbers written backwords.
Austin also came home with a Wayside Warrior thumbs up card which he got "for making great choices even without the teacher telling him!"
Kayla has become more detailed in her coloring. I think she stays in the lines pretty good for a 3 year old. What's funny is that she even realizes this herself. The other day while she was coloring she told me "Mom, we don't scribble. That makes Teka sad. We color." (fyi....Teka is her teacher at mother's day out).
This is Kayla's snowman that she did when we had Joyschool at our house.

Having Fun With Grandma

Mikayla LOVES her grandma and when we ask her who she loves the most she will pick grandma everytime!!!

Mom and Daughter Pedicures

When family came into town, we took a trip over to the salon and got pedicures. It was not only Kayla's first pedi but mine as well.
It is fun doing this together and Kayla did a pretty good job holding still.

Our pretty toes.

Around the House

I just never know what kind of block creations I am going to get from Austin.
Kayla with sunglasses and scriptures....I also never know what I am going to get with this silly girl.
