Trunk or Treat

We had a great time at the Trunk-or-Treat. Austin got to go "fishing" for treats out of his Grandma Reid's trunk and his Papa Choo-Choo and Granny Deb trunk also!!
He gathered plently of candy
And then had lots of fun inside with the games and the blow-up jumpers.

And it is always fun to find your friends dressed up also!!
(Left--Marion and Audra who I would call his best friend)
(Right--Paxton--one of Craig's co-workers son)
We dressed Mikayla up as a lady bug although you can't tell in the picture because she only left her wings on for about 15 minutes.

Gearing Up for Halloween

Tricky Frankenstein
Austin and I made this one saturday at the Lowe's Build It worskshop for kids (something we have recently discovered). Give Austin and hammer and nails and he is easily entertained for about 1/2 hour---long enough to put the project together. I was actually pretty impressed with myself that I was able to follow the instructions and put Frankenstein together (even though a 7 year old could probably do it without help also).
Making Pumpkin Cookies!!
YUMM! YUMM!!
Mikayla thinks so too----she ate almost the whole cookie!!
That's my girl!!!!
And of course....The Pumpkin Patch!!! Riding the tractor

Austin actually had more fun looking for the pumpkins that were smashed.
A true boy!!!

Riding back with our pumpkins!!!

Now we are almost ready for Halloween!!!

Fall Season

So the last several weeks we have been spending our monday family home evening nights raking up the leaves.

It is a lot of work (mostly for Craig) but the kids love jumping in the big pile of leaves.

And mommy loves to take pictures of them doing so!!!

Austin kept pretending he was sleeping in the leaves....

And actually asked me to take his picture with our pumpkin

All done....13 bags later!!! Sad thing is---this was only our front yard and we raked them up last monday night. But at least it gives us some fun family nights together.

Oklahoma Aquarium

Last Saturday Craig has a soccer tournament in T-town. Before his last game, me and Austin went to the Aquarium. It was very kid friendly and Austin had a blast.

There was multiple exhibits where you could reach in and touch the sea creatures.

At first Austin wasn't too sure about reaching his hand in the water and touching.

Do you blame him? These creatures really don't look too enticing to touch.

But once he saw mommy and the other kids doing it then he got brave enough.

I had to quickly remind him here that the Stingrays were not a touching exhibit!!
He loved the turtles!!!

And this guy was very entertaining to the kids---pretending that he was "drowning" in the water.

And then the shark exhibit. It was awesome!

We went through a "tunnel" and so the sharks were swimming around us and above us. It was really facinating just watching them.

We had a great time and I really enjoyed the quality one on one time with Austin!!!

While the Girls Are Away....

THE BOYS WILL PLAY!!!
While me and Mikayla were gone to Colorado, Craig and Austin were able to spend some nice quality time together. I'm sure there were lots of chicken & french fries dinners, but every night when I called Austin seemed happy and consent without me around. Although Craig told me that Austin would say "I miss mommy."
Craig took off work a couple days and they traveled down to Enid to visit Mook.

They went to Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse which was awesome and Austin had a blast!!

Outside there was a huge castle maze that they were able to run though.

Ready For Takeoff

What little kid wouldn't have a fun time at a place like this??

In the afternoon they met up with Mook and he took them to the Air Force Base.

They got to watch the very loud jet panes take off and land and Mook took Austin in the jet-similator that imitated the actual flying of a jet.

Mook's jet

They had such a great time together.

I love this picture!!!
